For more than 15 years, I worked as a beat reporter for daily newspapers, including the San Francisco Chronicle, where I had a front-row seat to historic social change, political power plays, and quirky tales of the City.
I wrote about mayors and murders. Homelessness and high-end real estate. Street gangs and surf gangs. Public education and robotic public toilets.
Then, as newsrooms began shrinking and my family grew, I moved to freelancing and solo entrepreneur-ing for the last 10+ years.
